The Perfect Oral Health Package for Father's Day

Dentist Blog

With Father's Day coming up, you may be looking for the perfect present for your father. Finding what men like can be complicated, as you may end up choosing something that's too cliché. However, a unique present that you may not consider is an oral health package.

Dental hygiene is becoming increasingly important in men of all ages. Fathers, both young and old, are looking to have a bright smile that will boost their self-confidence and even enhance their careers. But what should you include in this oral health package for Father's Day? Read on to find out.

1. An electric toothbrush

Electric toothbrushes have been proven to be more effective than regular ones. The automated motion removes plaque from deep within your teeth, along with sticky food stains that may gradually cause tooth decay or gum infections.

In preparation for Father's Day, consider getting an electronic toothbrush for him. These devices are easy to use, sensitive on the gums and reliable for many years to come. As he continues to improve his smile, your kindness will never be forgotten.

2. High-fluoride toothpaste

Along with a new toothbrush, he will also appreciate a special brand of toothpaste that will strengthen his teeth moving forward. Look for toothpaste that has high fluoride content, because fluoride will strengthen the enamel and prevent cavities from arising.

Many men love to eat foods that are rich in carbohydrates and starches, which may leave little room for fluorides in their diets. Therefore, such toothpaste will fill in the gaps and enable him to enjoy better oral health.

3. A home whitening kit

Brushing teeth and removing plaque is just one step in the overall dental hygiene process. Along with a new electric toothbrush, get him a tooth whitening kit that he can easily use at home. A home whitening kit (such as a home laser or whitening strips) is a useful alternative for fathers who may be feeling uncomfortable about going to the dentist.  Many new kits are quite affordable and easy to use, and your father will appreciate the opportunity to remove those stubborn yellow or brown stains.

4. Dental Floss

Proper oral hygiene would be incomplete without dental floss. If your father gets busy during the day and can't brush after a meal, flossing may be the easiest way of removing food stains. Add a pack of disposable flossing strips into his oral care package for Father's Day.
